How to Be Noble
Being noble is typically defined as exhibiting exceptional integrity, self-respect and an above-average commitment to doing what is right regardless of circumstance. Achieving nobility requires consistency in a person's actions, statements and behaviors. An ongoing commitment to personal, positive growth frequently results in a reputation for noble qualities.
1Instructions
- Tell the truth no matter the consequences. A noble person speaks his mind, and has the courage to speak the truth, even when it's not in his best interest. Telling the truth in the face of adversity -- on behalf of others -- is a powerful demonstration of being a noble person.
- 2Have a vision for a better world. Getting clear on the purpose of your life, and then acting consistently for the sake of that purpose regardless of circumstances, is a trait of those with a noble cause.
- 3Show consideration by helping others, even when it's inconvenient for you. This means setting aside your own desires to make someone else's life better.
- 4Treat every one with the same respect, no matter their occupation or social standing. Those who are noble show consistency in being courtesous to everyone.
